Get Brunch

Brunch at Sqirl in Los Angeles

No Sunday can start without a solid brunch. Here are three spots we love going back to again and again.

Crossroads

8284 Melrose Ave

Los Angeles, CA 90046

Crossroads Kitchen on Melrose is an unexpected favorite for brunch. The menu is completely vegan, though you wouldn’t know it, unless that’s what you’re looking for, of course. Their meatless options are a must for your brunch spread, and so are their cocktails.

Sqirl

720 N Virgil Ave #4

Los Angeles, CA 90029

Our LA brunch recommendations wouldn’t be complete without Sqirl, located in Silver Lake. Jessica Koslow’s restaurant features global-inspired fare, from their famed ricotta toast to the sorrel rice bowl. Make sure you grab one of their homemade jams and a fresh pastry before you head out.

Gjelina

1427 Abbot Kinney Blvd

Venice, CA 90291

Most restaurants in Los Angeles require a reservation, and Gjelina is one worth making. And if you can’t get one, we promise it's worth the wait. Our favorite menu items are their lemon ricotta pancakes, Niman Ranch BLT, and their squash blossom pizza. Gjelina also offers a vast wine selection to enjoy with your brunch.

Grab a Drink

Up for another round after brunch or just want to pop out for an afternoon drink? We got you.

Mama Shelter

6500 Selma Ave

Los Angeles, CA 90028

Nestled on a rooftop in the heart of Hollywood, Mama Shelter is our go-to when it comes to outdoor, rooftop bars in LA. No matter what time of year it is, this spot always works with its stunning views and great vibe.

The Bungalow

101 Wilshire Blvd

Santa Monica, CA 90401

If you’re on the Westside, the Bungalow in Santa Monica is the place to be. This space has a cozy vibe, almost like you’re in a perfectly-outfitted retro cabin. We recommend a tall glass of their ‘Bitchin’ Sangria.’

Angel City Brewery

216 S Alameda St

Los Angeles, CA 90012

One of LA’s most famous breweries is Angel City, of course. Pop by their brewery in the Arts District for a laid back day tasting their beers, hanging with friends, and more.

Go Shopping

Peruse some of the best local shopping options for a little treasure hunting on your next Sunday Funday.

Melrose Trading Post

7850 Melrose Ave

Los Angeles, CA 90046

Located at the corner of Fairfax and La Brea, the Melrose Trading Post happens every Sunday, and is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves a little thrifting. Whether you’re on the hunt for a new clothing item or vintage furniture piece or just want to stop by to see what you find, this flea market is perfect for strolling after brunch.

Westfield Century City

10250 Santa Monica Blvd

Los Angeles, CA 90067

Looking for more of a traditional mall experience for your Sunday? The recently revamped Century City mall is the place to go. With an Eataly, Nordstrom, Macy’s, and plenty of boutique stores, we love hanging out here and getting some retail therapy in and a treat at Eataly.

Abbot Kinney

Abbot Kinney Blvd

Venice, CA 90291

If you’re in for a little Sunday stroll, the main drag of Abbot Kinney is the place. The famous Venice street is home to countless boutiques made for window shopping, or real shopping, of course. Stop by Burro for adorable greeting cards and trinkets, or Warby Parker to snag a new pair of sunglasses for that LA sun.
