If you’ve wanted to visit museums like The Broad or the La Brea Tar Pits' Serpentine Pavilion, but don’t have the cash lying around to pay the admission fee, we’ve got good news. Sign up for a local library card, and get access to 20+ cultural institutions- for free!
Your LA County Library card can grant you access to local museums with their Discover & Go program. You do have to be 18+ and have a card in good standing (time to pay those late fees!) It’s super simple- just make a reservation through the Discover & Go Portal, and print out your pass before you go. Just remember, you can only have up to 2 active reservations at any given time, and the pass can no longer be canceled once you print it out.
