Red Bull Sound Select's '30 Days In LA' takeover landed Run The Jewels at the Echoplex for one of the best shows of the series. Travis Barker was on drums and Zach de la Rocha made an appearance, too. This sold out show had everyone buzzing for days! Run The Jewels return to the Regent in January, don't miss it!

Kera & the lesbians AT the bootleg On october 10th
Hair flips, gyrations and 1 brave fan sneaking onto stage - we had to wait 2 months for this show but that just made it even sweeter. Any Kera & The Lesbians show is mind blowing thanks to Kera's impeccable and theatrical manner, but this one in particular carried special weight. Devendra Banhart DJ'd between sets, which fired Kera up even more. Before the show, we asked Kera & Michael what liquor they would bootleg.

kraftwerk in 3d AT walt disney concert hall On march 18th
Highlights spanning 40+ years of Kraftwerk's career, this unique experience featured an enormous backdrop of 3D animations. To make it better, the acoustics of the Walt Disney Concert Hall made for a reverb-free electro set that was crisp and cutting edge. The retro-futurists hinted a ninth studio album in the works.

municipal waste AT the echoplex On july 25th
Thrash geniuses Municipal Waste joined PBR and DoLA at the Echoplex for a Nuclear Keg Party that was insane. Line around the block, sold out of PBR before Municipal Waste took the stage and they band delivered all the hits. They're taking the 7000 Tons of Metal cruise in January if you want to sail around Cuba for 5 days.

the dead ships AT echo park rising On august 16th
Taix had to lock down the Champagne Room for The Dead Ships and people still kept trying to bust down the doors. The garage rock trio weren't the Buzzbands LA stage finale but they put on a performance no one wanted to follow. Pouring so much energy, sweat, and killer songs onto the crowd, you needed a shower and a cigarette just to calm down. Watch their new video for "Canyon" and keep your ear to the ground for updates on their new album in 2015!

the horrors AT first unitarian church On may 1st
It was hot but the UK newbies triumphed. "The sudden heatwave, poor ventilation, and excited bodies spiked the temperature within the 87-year-old cathedral. Paired with the fog machine haze, surreal laser display, and The Horrors’ broody tunes, the entire audience was entranced." - LA Record
