If your morning commute involves two wheels and a set of gears, then you're going to love this cyclist-friendly coffee shop. 10 Speed Coffee has three locations throughout the city (Santa Monica, Sawtelle, and Calabasas), and each of them has the ideal set-up for WFH warriors. As expected, they've got a protected area to lock up your precious bike (just ask the barista for a key) while you zoom through six slide decks.

Doubting Thomas’ outdoor area is the perfect spot to plop a seat and do some work while the slow rush of Temple Street flows in front of you. This café in Historic Filipinotown is known for its small-batch handcrafted pastries and specialty pour-over coffee. We suggest coming hungry because you won’t want to miss out on their seasonal menu featuring brunch favorites such as the Doubtless Breakfast Burrito with braised pork shoulder or anything fresh in their pastry case.

You’re probably familiar with this bougie neighborhood market, whether it’s your personal go-to or your favorite influencer/blogger’s impromptu office. The Santa Monica outdoor patio is specifically ideal for those warm summer afternoons when you only have a few tasks on your to-do list. For a little midday motivation, swing by their café for kombucha on tap and wood-fired Italian pizza. Plus, when you finish you can treat yourself to an overpriced smoothie or ice cream from the freezer aisle.

To keep it one hundred we seriously considered leaving this one off the list because we wanted to gate-keep this incredible workspace. However, we are kind and generous people at DoLA, so we'll let you in on a little secret. This giant cruise ship-looking building in the heart of Culver City is home to an Equinox and WeWork office spaces, but you don't need any memberships to hang out in the spacious lobby area. With tons of tables, bar space (with outlets), and floor-to-ceiling windows, One Culver is the best place to hunker down for an afternoon and get sh*t done. Plus, the building has a Go Get Em Tiger so you can get your caffeine fix only a few feet away.

From the Bay to LA, Philz Coffee is a major player in the coffee game. With their focus and expertise on drip coffee, there’s no question as to why their blends are a favorite among many. For all the marginalized vegans and oat milk drinkers, we’d also like to emphasize that they don’t charge extra for milk substitutes! Camp out on their patio, and when you can't focus anymore, take a donut or burger break with Randy’s Donuts and Shake Shack just next door.
