3501 Monterey Rd
Los Angeles, CA 90032
Tucked away in El Sereno, Secret Pizza is the kind of low‑key neighborhood spot you brag about. Ranked #1 Best Pizza by The LA Times, Their New Jersey–style pies come perfectly blistered and loaded with toppings that actually feel thoughtful instead of gimmicky. The menu rotates, but expect bold combos, crispy crusts, and maybe even a secret special or two if you’re lucky.
1320 East 7th St. #100
Los Angeles, CA 90021
If you haven't heard someone raving about this Phoenix-born pizza sensation, then consider this a necessary wake-up call. Chris Bianco's pies are known far and wide thanks to a little show called Chef's Table, but unlike most viral restaurants, this one hits different. Brace yourself for long lines and limited seating, but prepare to dig into some of the best pizza you've ever tasted hands down. Order every slice in sight, but particularly make room for the "Green Slice" slathered in caciocavallo (a stretchy curd cheese) and the most decadent spinach cream sauce.
11736 Washington Pl.
Los Angeles, CA 90066
This tiny but mighty pizza shop on Washington dishes out some of the most decadent pizza we've had in a long time. Their Sicilian/Detroit-inspired square pies are thick, gooey, and topped with a rotating array of insanely delicious toppings. Pull up to this order-at-the-counter joint with an empty stomach since you'll need to make some room for a couple of slices of their pillowy pizzas which come with toppings like hot honey, ricotta, and lemon, or hot Italian sausage and whole roasted garlic.
Multiple Locations (West Hollywood, DTLA, Studio City, Venice, Malibu)
Prince Street Pizza is good anywhere – at the pizza shop, in your car, at a music festival, at your ex's apartment (yup, we went there). This spot is known for its signature pizza squares that supersede the typical late-night pizza options. Want our advice? Order the spicy pepperoni.

4346 Tujunga Ave.
Studio City, CA 91604
Late Spago alumnus Ed LaDou's casual restaurant on Tujunga has one of our favorite slices in the city: the acclaimed BBQ chicken pizza. Fun fact: LaDou invented BBQ chicken pizza back in the 80s and was approached by California Pizza Kitchen's owners to make the wacky invention their signature pie. When LaDou passed in 2007, his wife and daughters continued serving his unique pizza creations at Caioti. Here you'll find pies with gorgonzola, bison, hash browns, and even sunny-side-up eggs! On a slightly unrelated note, this restaurant is also home to "The The Salad" which is rumored to induce labor for pregnant folks who've been waiting for their water to break.
Multiple Locations (North Hollywood, West LA, Mar Vista, Echo Park, Pasadena)
Known for their wood-fired pies, Pitfire Pizza is a pizza staple. Complete with a large outdoor patio at their North Hollywood location, bring a date or a group of friends and enjoy the outdoors with a slice of heaven.

1524 Pizarro St.
Los Angeles, CA 90026
Organic sourdough pizza, natural wine, and a cozy space with exposed wood beams – sounds like a recipe for a hip millennial hangout to us. Fortunately at Grá, vibes aren't the only thing they serve at this Historic Filipinotown hotspot. We often daydream about their white pizza topped with pistachio pesto, mozzarella, ricotta, and honey, but their head-on prawns with turmeric butter deserve an honorable mention. There isn't a single miss on their extensive natural wine list, so we recommend going with a group and taste-tasting a few different options.
641 N Highland Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90036
The combined culinary powers of Nancy Silverton & the Croc-sporting and brilliant Mario Batali gave Los Angeles the gift of Pizzeria Mozza. Gjelina is basically the textbook definition of "LA-style pizza." This luxe spot on Abbott Kinney definitely requires a reservation (which go really quickly), but trust us, it is so worth the wait, especially for those extra-bubbly crusts. You never know which celeb you might see here...

On a sunny day, there's nothing better than ordering a fresh pizza at Village and enjoying a meal on the intimate patio in the heart of Larchmont. Highland Park, Echo Park, Santa Monica, Glendora
We love Triple Beam for their Roman-style pizza, which is super tough to find in LA. (Roman pizza has a thicker crust and is often cut with scissors). At Triple Beam, you just tell them the size you'd like your slice, they cut it, and then weigh it and charge by the ounce. It's basically a slice of delicious Italian bread with toppings, and you can't beat it! All of their pizzas are available gluten-free, and they have vegan options as well.
